BIRGUNJ, Aug 13: A bus carrying school children met with an accident at Lipani, Birta-6 of Bara district on Monday, leaving 18 students injured, police said.
The bus belonged to Little Flower Boarding School. The district police office said the number of the injured could increase. [break]
The injured students are receiving treatment at National Medical College. There were altogether 40 students traveling on the bus at the time of the incident.
The school management could not be immediately contacted for details. The parents, who have reached the site, believe that the accident happened while one of the teachers was driving the bus in the absence of the driver.
