SC seeks Rs 30m from Gurung in bail

KATHMANDU, Nov. 8: The Supreme Court (SC) on Thursday issued an order in the name of Kalu Gurung of Unity International to be present at the SC by paying Rs 30 million in bail. Currently, Gurung is in jail.



A special bench of Justices Damodar Prasad Sharma, Bharat Raj Upreti and Gyanendra Bahadur Karki handed down the order to the defendants to be present at the SC by revoking the penalty amount of Rs 50 million fixed by the district court and special court.



Similarly, the bench also directed Lok Bahadur Tandan and Krishna Prasad Pathak to pay Rs 15 million and Rs 3 million in bail respectively and be present in the court.
