SC asks govt to produce document on cabinet decision

KATHMANDU, Sept 16: Supreme Court (SC) on Sunday asked government to produce necessary documents on the cabinet decision to recommend the president to remove constitutional difficulties for appointments in top posts of various constitutional bodies.



A single bench of Chief Justice Khila Raj Regmi ordered the government to this effect after conducting initial hearing on a petition filed by three lawyers.[break]



Advocate Hari Shankar Karna, Prabin Kumar Pradhan and Karunakar Mallik on Tuesday filed the petition at the apex court demanding a stay order against the government decision to recommend to the president to remove constitutional difficulties for appointments in top posts of various constitutional bodies.
