JHAPA, Nov 2: Kathmandu-based Saraswati Football Club entered the semifinal of the Surunga Gold Cup beating departmental team Armed Police Force 2-1 at Surunga, Jhapa on Sunday.

Shyam scored in the 33rd minute go provide departmental side lead in the game but failed to capitalize on it as Elvis netted in the 40th minute for Saraswati to level the score.
Although, first half ended 1-1, Dipesh scored the winner in the 77th minute and helped Saraswati Club to book a berth in the last four. Saraswati’s Elvis was adjudged man-of-the-match.
Meanwhile, Kathmandu-based Church Boys’ United will face Bhutan Clearing Football Club on Monday.
The semifinals will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, while the final will be played on Friday.
