KATHMANDU, June 12: Final rites of former minister and Senior Vice Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party- Nepal (RPP-Nepal), Hem Bahadur Malla, were performed at the Pashipati Aryaghat this afternoon.

Malla was suffering from heart and liver diseases as well as lung cancer. He died in course of treatment at the Norvic Hospital, Thapathali this morning. He was 75.
Former Prime Ministers Lokendra Bahadur Chand, Kirti Nidhi Bista and Marichman Singh, Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party Pashupati Shamser Rana, Nepali Congress leader Bimalendra Nidhi, former ministers Deepak Bohara and Sharat Singh Bhandari, among others reached the Pashupati Aryaghat to pay last tribute to the late Malla.
Prior to his, his body was kept at the party central office, Baluwataar from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm for paying last respects to him. Party Chairman Kamal Thapa draped his body with the party flag.
Expressing deep sorrow over the death of its senior leader, the RPP-Nepal has decided to close the party office tomorrow with the party flag at half-mast for the next three days to mourn the late.
