Talking to media persons at a news conference in Bharatpur on Thursday, he claimed that the same parties started to advocate for the multi-ethnic federal states when they failed to go for the federalism based on single-ethnic states.[break]
KC said the public has already understood who the obstacles were in the way of promulgating the constitution, adding federalism on the basis of multi-ethnic state, was better than the single ones. He said Rastriya Janamorcha was for decentralization on the unitary state system claiming that federalism invites anomalies in the country.
RJM Chairman KC said the UCPN-Maoist created an unholy alliance just to lengthen the stay in power and stressed on the need of a national consensus government.
He said new constitution is not possible just by extending the term of constituent assembly for a short time as it was not possible in its full term.
