Nepal to host Bangladesh for friendlies
Meanwhile, ANFA fixed two friendly matches for Nepali national team against Bangladesh on September 18 and 20. According to ANFA, both the matches will be played at the Dasharath Stadium, Kathmandu.
ANFA President Thapa said the friendlies were arranged to give maximum possible exposure to national team. "Bangladesh was keen to visit Nepal and we invited them," said Thapa. "Pakistan has also invited us for friendlies but we could not go there since the given date coincided with upcoming Ncell Cup here," he added. Thapa said that ANFA will keep on seeking opportunities to provide exposure to the national team.
Nepali national team participated in the Nehru Cup in Delhi last week. Nepal lost three round-robin matches in the Nehru Cup but played a goalless draw against host India.
