Speaking at a program organized by Nepal Press Union in his home town, Nepalgunj this morning, the NC president , however, said his party continues to hold a different view on the issues of state restructuring and forms of governance. [break]

Koirala also stressed that works related to Maoist combatants’ arms and their integration should be accomplished prior to promulgation of the new constitution.

The NC president was also of the opinion that though the UCPN (Maoist) Vice-chairman Baburam Bhattarai-led government has already announced to return seized properties, there are still difficulties for the owners in procuring their properties.

“The government has to take harsh penal measures against those not abiding by the party’s decision to return the properties,” he said.
