The award was established by the Ganesh Man Singh and Janaandolan Martyrs Memorial Peace Foundation to commemorate the 97 Th birth anniversary of Supreme Leader Ganeshman Singh´s. [break]
Dr. Shrestha was awarded for his contribution from the revolution of 2007 BS to 2062- 63 BS movement. He was minister for health in the interim government formed after the peoples´ movement of 1990.
On the occasion, President Dr. Yadav said to establish award in the name of Ganesh man Singh and Dr. Shrestha to receive it is laudable of peoples´ faith in democracy.
He also praised the foundation for establishing award.
The president also garlanded the statue of Ganesh Man Singh and paid tribute to martyrs.
