Present govt will convert to nat'l consensus one: Yadav

KATHMANDU, Feb 28: Minister for Irrigation Mahendra Yadav has said that Bhattarai-led government would be converted into a national consensus one so as to complete the tasks related to peace process and statute writing.



"The current government has given top priority for the completion of peace and constitution writing process. This government could be changed into the national unity government to complete the army integration process," Yadav said.[break]



Speaking at an interaction in the capital on Tuesday, Yadav said army integration process has reached the final phase adding that that the major parties have been holding serious discussion to forge consensus in the disputed issues seen in the constitution writing.



The Irrigation Minister said the government would investigate into the bomb explosion incident by giving top priority. Condemning the incident, he said the families of deceased persons will be provided with relief package.



Likewise, leader of CPN-UML Ramchandra Jha said the army integration will be forwarded based on the seven-point deal signed by the major political parties.



However, leader of the Nepali Congress Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat ruled out the possibility of converting the current government into the unity government.



Similarly, UCPN (Maoist) leader Dev Gurung stressed to resolve the contentious issues appeared in the constitution writing process by forging consensus among the political parties.
