The 18-member squad will train in a closed camp before the selection committee headed by Arun Kumar Aryal picked the final 14.
Unlike in previous occasion, CAN did not name a captain as the committee is still considering the change in captaincy.
Binod Das, who is in the squad, led the team for last four years without much success for the team.
Those named in the squad are Dipendra Chaudhary, Raj Kumar Pradhan, Binod Das, Sanjam Regmi, Paresh Lohani, Paras Khadka, Gyanendra Malla, Sarad Vesawakar, Shakti Gauchan, Basant Regmi and Mehboob Alam.
Similarly, Amrit Bhattarai, Rahul Kumar BK, Mahesh Chhetri, Binod Bhandari, Chandra Saud and Naresh Budayer are also included in the squad.
The ACC T20 Elite Cup is scheduled to be held in UAE from November 20 to 30.
