“The CPN-Maoist is not a party as it has not been legally registered. We regarded it as a political party before but it has lost its recognition now, Ghimire said, warning "I would not let anyone go scot free if found involved in poll-opposing activities. "
“Activities against the polls are carried out from back door, which we are aware of. In case of clashes among the parties taking part in the elections, action will be taken in accordance with the law,” Ghimire said.
Minister Ghimire urged one and all to take part in the polls assuring that the security has been beefed up in all the polling stations of the country.
Meanwihle, Chief Election Commissioner Nilkantha Uprety said the commission will bring all the violators of the election code of conduct to book without delay.
At the security meeting that began today, chiefs of 10 district administration offices of t the Bagmati Zone, representatives of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Nepal Army and district chiefs of Central Investigation Bureau are participating.
