“The incident took place at around 2:40 a.m. near Arariya river of Mirjapur when police patrol intercepted a group of about 50 smugglers heading toward India from Dhobini carrying the contraband," said Manohar Bhatta, Inspector at Parsa district Police Office. After several rounds of fire from both sides, the smugglers fled the scene leaving behind the cannabis. No one was injured in the incident.
