PM visits Janakpur blast victims in hospital

KATHMANDU, May 2: Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai visited the Janakpur blast victims undergoing treatment at the TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, on Wednesday morning.



He inquired about health condition of the injured and assured that the government would bear cost for medical treatment of the victims. [break]



Condemning the attack, Bhattarai said the deceased would be declared martyrs and due compensation will be provided to the families of the victims.







The injured needing further treatment would be airlifted to India, the PM assured.



PM Bhattarai also said that the government would order an in-depth investigation into the incident, adding that the culprits would be brought to book soon.



Four people were killed and over 36 injured in the explosion that took place at a sit-in venue at Ramananda Chowk in Janakpur on Monday.
