PM Oli directs secretaries to devise new action plan for country's development

KATHMANDU, Oct 19: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has directed the secretaries to formulate a new action plan for the development of the country in the aftermath of the promulgation of the constitution and submit it to the government until mid-November.



PM Oli made such directives during a meeting held in Singhadurbar Monday with secretaries, joint secretaries and senior government officers.

Stating that bureaucracy should be free from any political activities and that government staffs should work in accordance with the new constitution, he urged them to expedite their works at a time when the constitution was promulgated amid critical political juncture in the country.



PM Oli also said that some necessary laws should be made at the earliest to implement the new constitution effectively and move ahead in a new direction.



He also directed the secretaries to pay their attentions towards easing the supplies of foodstuffs and medicines to the remote areas and making necessary arrangements towards that end.



Also, he drew the attention of the secretaries towards clearing obstructions on the highways (if any), emphasising on the need not to let hospitals, educational institutions and industries padlocked under any pretexts. RSS
