PM, CA chair meet on statute drafting

KATHMANDU, March 9: Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has said that he has been firmly committed to adopt new constitution within coming May 27.



At a meeting with Constituent Assembly Chairman Subas Nembang at Prime Minister´s residence Friday morning, he informed about the talks being held with two main political parties to take ahead the peace process to a conclusion within mid-March. [break]



Talking to RSS after meeting with the Prime Minister, Nembang said Prime Minister Dr. Bhattarai apprised him on the meeting of three political parties scheduled for Sunday, which he claimed will yield concrete results.



´I requested the prime minister to work out to yield results at a time when the promise by the government and political parties to remove all types of difficulties on peace and constitution-making within mid-March´, he said.



The CA chairman made it clear that he also drew the prime minister´s attention toward accomplishing all the works of peace and constitution.



Discussions with the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML are being held for peace and constitution and it would draw some results soon, CA Chair Nembang quoted prime minister as saying.
