In its first edition last year, more than 600 photographers submitted over 5,000 photographs for the contest held in five different categories.[break]
The competition this year will also boast five categories; Tourism, Wildlife and Nature, Daily Life, News Photo and Photo Story.
Photographs taken in the year 2067 can be part of the contest in the News Photo category, while other categories will not have any time limit.
One contestant can submit up to three photos in every category, two photo stories comprising two to 12 photographs.
The top three photographs from each category will receive awards worth Rs 30,000, Rs 20,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively.
Likewise, the “Mega Bank Photo of the Year” selected from all the photos will receive award worth Rs 1, 00,000.
The 150 photographs selected during the competition will be exhibited for four days at the Nepal Art Council and will also be toured in four major cities of Nepal.

The final date for submission has been set at Baishak 15, 2069 BS. Photos selected for submission by participants should be in Nepal by Nepali citizens.
