It aspires to be a hub of collaboration, inspiration and learning for emerging media artists.
SMAC is organizing a five-day workshop on photography from April 17 to April 21 between 11 am and 3 pm at Sattya Media Arts Collective, Jawalakhel. [break]
The workshop is for beginners on photography techniques, equipment, composition and editing.
“The workshop will cover the basics of photography, technical aspects and also on how we can improve our skills in photography.
It will be beneficial to those people who want to improve and learn new skills in photography. It is better if the participants can bring their own camera, otherwise we will be providing them with one for the duration of the workshop,” said Anya Vaverko, co- founder of Sattya.

She further informed that the workshop will be conducted by Carolin Weinkopf, a freelance photographer from Berlin, Germany.
The workshop entry fee is Rs 1,500 for all five sessions and will cover all the basics of photography skills such as aperture, shutter speed, ISO, white balance, camera settings, noise, composition (rule of thirds, perspective, view point, s-curve, and balance), what to photograph and how to approach people.
The course will also include basic editing skills (Photoshop or others) as well as reviews and critiques.
Applicants are open until April 13. To download the application form or for more information, visit sattya.org.
