Playing with 10 handicap allowance, Ongdi produced a card of 41 Stableford points to clinch the title by one stroke over Bhairaja Pandey and Norbu Sherpa. Bhairaja Pandey claimed second with 40 Stableford points on the count back over Norbu Sherpa by scoring 25 points on the back nine.[break]
Ongdi received a trophy and a ticket from Malaysian Airways for Kathmandu-Kuala Lampur-Kathmandu as well as an invitation to play in Corporate Invitation round at World Amateur Inter-Team Golf Championship 2012 to be held in Malaysia on November 6.
Lobsang Tashi won the award for the best gross winner with the score of 33 gross points. Tashi will get a complimentary Kathmandu-Kaula Lampur-Kathmandu ticket.
Rekha Ghimire emerged winner in the ladies´ section with the score of 36 points, while Kecho Ongdi finished second amongst ladies with the score of 30 points.
Ghimire received a trophy and a Kathmandu-Kuala Lampur-Kathmandu ticket from Malaysian Airways.
TG Shrestha claimed the title in the senior section (age 60 and above) with the score of 39 points ahead of Gopal Chitrakar, who scored 38. KNS Thapa won the super senior title (age 70 and above) with the score of 34 points. Bijaya Bahadur Sherstha was the winner from the five star hotels category.
Rahul Agrawal scored 51 Stableford points to win from among the juniors. Sam Doublard bagged the sub-junior award. Mikhail Lari won the longest drive and Sumod Bastakoti won the closest to the pin award.
Altogether 115 golfers, including 10 juniors and five ladies, participated in the tournament.
