Peace project in Makwanpur

HETAUDA, Sept 10: National Foundation for the Uplift of Indigenous Nationalities has launched peace project in Makawanpur.



The project operated with the financial assistance of Ministry of Peace and Reconstruction will work in coordination with the Ministry of Local Development, Peace Ministry, organizations working on the issues of indigenous nationalities, Non-government Organizations (NGOs), local peace committee, coordination council and local government line agencies. It was informed at an introductory program organized by the Foundation that the government has allocated a budget of Rs. 20 million for the project implemented in 30 districts of all five development regions.



The thrust of the project is to proactively engage the organizations of civil society and indigenous nationalities in appreciative conflict management and peace building, said Foundation’s Member-Secretary PB Gole.
