Over 3.2 million people take MRP so far

KATHMANDU, April 20: A total of 3 million 220 thousand 894 people so far have received the machine readable passport (MRP).

Director General at the MRP Division, Lok Bahadur Thapa, informed that the 3,220,894 people have received the MRP by mid-April.The government had started providing the MRPs since December 26, 2010. In the past, there used to be long line of service seekers applying to get the MRP; however, this problem has been almost solved in recent days after the government extended service providing hours by 12 hours, Thapa added.
