KATHMANDU, April 14: General Secretary of the CPN-UML, Ishwor Pokhrel has said it is wrong to laud only one party or leader for the recent development in the peace process.

General Secretary Pokhrel expressed discontent over the UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal´s way of presenting himself as a crucial figure in the recent handover of its combatants to the government, stating that the decision was taken by the Army Integration Special Committee. [break]

Addressing a programme organized by constituency no 5 of the party in Kathmandu, he urged all not to forget the role of the CPN-UML in the peace process and constitution writing.

While forming peace and reconciliation commission, it must be taken into account that the victims need to be catered justice while the torturers meted out punishment, he argued. Similarly, leader Pokhrel said the form of governance should deter the chance of autocracy and instability.
