Today, it is involved in cinema exhibition as well as distribution business. It is the pioneering company that provided the Nepali audiences an experience to watch Hollywood movies on the big screen. It has been putting efforts to make the cinema-going experience a quality fun, with air-conditioned halls, hygienic and quality snacks (foods and beverages), and comfortable, safe, and relaxing environment.
Looking back at the year 2009, big banner releases of Hollywood, Bollywood, and Kollywood, and willingness of people to spend on big screen entertainment have presented a favorable scenario for the theaters. However, the political instability and disturbances, and unpredictable entertainment tax policies have made 2009 an average year for theaters owners. In addition, the slowdown of the country’s economy, alternative modes of entertainment (TV and cable releases) and piracy are the key challenges that multiplexes have been dealing with.

Nevertheless, Quest Entertainment is optimistic about 2010. To capture the demand of cinemagoers, Quest Entertainment is coming up with two multiplexes in the near future. It is planning to launch the Civil Mall at Sundhara in Kathmandu in the beginning of 2010, and the all-new Lalitpur Bishal Bazaar is also in the pipeline.
Quest Entertainment is all set to take entertainment to a different level. Its multiplexes will present international standards in movie theaters and shopping experience. If these efforts in theaters are topped by favorable political climate and cooperation of different stakeholders, multiplexes will add an extended flavor to entertainment in Nepal.
