One Madhes-one province unacceptable: MPRF-D

KATHMANDU, Aug 23: Madhesi People’s Right Forum-Democratic (MPRF-D) Chairman Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar has said that the demand of ‘one Madhes, one province’ is futile as the demand is neither practical nor scientific.



Organizing a press conference in Kathmandu on Friday, Gachchhadar said, “We have proposed two provinces for Madhes in our election manifesto for the forthcoming Constituent Assembly (CA) election.”



He revealed they were all set to create ‘Tharuhat State’, including western region and ‘Madhes State’ for eastern districts. He further said that they have proposed a total of 10 provinces with the view of new federal structure.
