NOC hikes fuel prices again

KATHMANDU, Sept 3: The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has raised the prices of petroleum products to be effective from Monday.



A board meeting of the corporation took a decision to this effect on Sunday night.  As per the decision, petrol will be costlier by Rs 5 per liter, diesel and kerosene by Rs 4 per liter and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) by Rs 55 per cylinder. [break]



After the increment, petrol will now cost Rs 125 per liter and diesel and kerosene Rs 97 per liter. Similarly, a cylinder of cooking gas will cost Rs 1,470 from now onwards.



The corporation has also hiked the price of aviation fuel supplied to domestic airlines by Rs 11 per liter, making it to Rs 120 per liter.
