In a three-party meeting held on NC´s call, Maoist leaders put forward their stance and left as the meeting concluded inconclusively.[break]
“We asked the Prime Minister for clarification on regular session,” Maoist vice-chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha said. “We expressed grave concern about the decision of the ruling coalition that the regular session would be called only after agreement on new government.”
Shrestha quoted PM Madhav Kumar Nepal as saying that there was no such decision and that the homeworks for the summoning the session was underway.
He also added that they left the meeting telling the parties that they could only discuss issues relating to Maoist combatants and other political agenda only after House session is called.
NC leader Ram Sharan Mahat said that Maoists did not wanted to discuss on the issue relating to the combatants. “We said that the House session should only be called after the management of the combatants comes under the Special Committee for Supervision, Integration and Rehabilitation,” Mahat said. “But they didn’t want to discuss.”
