SIRAHA, Sept 6: Five school children have gone missing from a village in Siraha district. Pashupati Thakur and Rupesh Yadav, fifth graders, Amit Kumar Sah and Budhana Mochi, eighth graders, and Sudip Kumar Yadav, a sixth grader, have been missing since the last four days.

All the missing boys are students of Janata Higher Secondary School in Asanpur VDC of Siraha district. [break]

According to Sudip´s father Umesh, all the five children had left their homes Monday morning, purportedly, for the school, but none of them returned in the evening. “When we started searching for our children, we found their books thrown at different places,” says Umesh.

According Rupesh´s father Ramchandra Yadav, a 20-year-old boy had come to their village a few days ago introducing himself as a bricklayer. He had told the villagers that his name was Shiva Yadav and that he came from Bhardah of Sapatari district.

Ramchandra Yadav believes that Shiva must have lured them to go to India. After the boys went missing, their parents went to Bhardah to enquire about Shiva Yadav but were shocked when the people there told them that no one by that name lived there.
