Nikesh, Monalisa perform poor in chess

COLOMBO, July 6: Both Nikesh Dulal and Monalisa Khamboo were handed defeats in the Asian Junior Boys´ and Girls´ Chess Tournament being held in Colombo.

In the seventh round, Nikesh was defeated by Danuska M.A.N (rated 1968) and by Amarsena (rated 1914) in the 8th round. Monalisa lost to Lankan players Cooray Sakuni and Abeywickrana in 7th and 8th rounds.
