NFC not distribute rice on parties' recommendations

HUMLA, Feb. 9: Humla based sales depot of the Nepal Food Corporation (NFC), reported that it would not be able to provide rice and other foodstuffs as recommended by the local political parties.



The NFC, Humla Office, has taken the decision after the local political parties recommended for rice and other foodstuffs to provide rice more than its capacity.



The NFC had been providing the rice as per the recommendations from the local parties.



"We have concluded that the office cannot provide the rice as per the slips given for recommendations by various political parties in the district, said Chief of the NFC, Humla, Prem Kumar Thakur.



The government has decided to provide 6,600 quintals of rice for the district this year and the Office has distributed 6,717 kilogrammes of rice in a month.
