The arrested is the chief of Nepal Telecom Inaruwa, Jiyalal Mehta. This is the third arrested in connection with Pokharel´s abduction, police inspector Devi Baral said. Earlier, police had arrested Budhnarayan Mahato and Santosh Mahato of Sunsari.
Three Indian nationals involved in Pokharel´s abduction have also been arrested before.
Pokharel was kidnapped on July 17 and later rescued by Indian police from Farbesgunj, India.
