The loss was contributed by decline in the sub-indices of all trading groups. Sensitive Index, an indicator of trading of Class ´A´ category companies, also plunged by 1.79 percent or 2.4 points to end 131.53 points.
Banking -- the key trading group -- in the secondary market lost 9.02 points to settle at 502.19 points with share prices of most of the commercial banks, including Bank of Kathmandu, Nabil Bank, Nepal Investment Bank and Standard Chartered Bank, going down.
Total turnover during the session stood at Rs 81.67 million with 237,450 units of shares and 52 units of scrips changing hands through 984 transactions.
