Nepal stays in Div 4 beating Cayman Islands

KATHMANDU, Aug 20: Nepal confirmed its stay in Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Division 4 defeating Cayman Islands by seven wickets at Medicina, Italy on Friday.



After bowling out Cayman Islands for 69 in 39.4 overs, Nepal completed the victory in 18th overs. The result meant, Cayman Islands are relegated to Division 5 and Nepal will play third-place playoff against the loser of Italy-Tanzania match.[break]



Earlier, Nepal bowled out Cayman Islands for lowly 69 runs. Basant Regmi took 4/13 to lead the bowling while pacer Amrit Bhattarai took three wickets. Mehboob Alam grabbed two as Cayman Islands struggle hard against disciplined Nepali bowling. For Cayman Islands, only RD Bovell (31 not out) and R Sealy (11) reached dougle-digit figure.
