On a rain-affected day, Mandal´s 113 runs helped Nepal put up a formidable score of 240 in 50 overs. Nepal restricted Denmark to 130 for 9 in 31 overs for a 25-run victory on D/L methods.[break]
Nepal will take on the USA in the final of the tournament on Monday. The USA beat Singapore by 37 runs under D/L methods and prevailed over Denmark and Singapore because of better net run-rate.
The Division 3 promotion is the greatest success for the Nepali national team so far. Nepal will play the Division 3 in April 2013, which is scheduled to be held in Bermuda.
With its entry into Division 3, Nepal has marched a step closer toward World Cup 2015. The top two teams of the Division 3 get promoted to Division 2 and the teams in the Division 2 get the chance to play World Cup qualifying tournament, which consists 10 teams
