Lal Mani Joshi, secretary at the Ministry of Commerce and Supplies (MoCS), Monday asked visiting Tibetan trade delegation led by Sonam Dorjie, executive deputy director of the Department of Commerce of Tibet, to take initiative in simplifying quarantine process, developing infrastructure along trade route and customs points and increasing the market for goods designated for zero tariff by China.
Though China has offered duty free access to 7,787 goods for least developed countries, including Nepal, exportable goods to Chinese market from Nepal are limited.
Responding positively to Nepali officials, Dorjie assured full support of the Tibetan government in forwarding the requests to the Chinese government.
