KATHMANDU, April 3: Top three leaders of the Nepali Congress -- Sushil Koirala, Sher Bahadur Deuba and Ram Chandra Poudel -- on Saturday gave a message of unity within the party.

Addressing the condolence meeting, the leaders, however, admitted that there exist differences within the party.

Acting President Sushil Koirala said the party will resolve all differences and maintain strong unity and said the party will run through institutional decisions.

Vice president Ram Chandra Poudel urged everyone not to believe in media reports about serious disputes in the party. He said the party will follow a middle way through collective leadership system.

Sher Bahadur Deuba, however, said there are many issues to be resolved within the party. "There are many differences within the party. We should not lie to the people," he said. He did not disclose what were the differences in the party.
