KATHMANDU, Jan 23: Nepali Congress (NC) President Gagan Thapa has said that the party will gradually address internal issues and move to resolve differences that emerged during the recent Special General Convention and candidate selection process.
President Thapa also said that the party now needs time to work together and return to a single track on focusing on the March 5 election, not allowing internal disagreements to linger party activities.

He acknowledged that the January 11 -14 Special General Convention and the subsequent distribution of election tickets had caused some dissatisfaction within the party. Thapa acknowledged the internal disputes but vowed efforts to settle the issues.
“I have heard the grievances of some colleagues who did not receive tickets. But let me assure you that we will soon sort out internal matters,” Thapa said.
He also floated plans to work together to address the grieving leaders. “We will bring those who missed out tickets into the Central Committee with responsibilities. But we must unite to strengthen the Nepali Congress by removing differences and misunderstandings,” President Thapa said.
