NC, Maoist row keeps Okharbote tensed

SANKHUWASABHA: Okharbote bazaar of constituency number 2 in Sankhawasabha district remained tensed on Wednesday as a dispute between two political parties over placing party flag turned ugly.



The dispute arose after cadres of Nepali Congress tried to place their party´s flag at the house of a UCPN (Maoist) cadre.[break]



 Security personnel were deployed at Okharbote bazaar on Tuesday night to prevent clashes and the situation from getting worse.



 The Maoist supporters claimed that the NC cadres forcefully planted their party´s flag at the house of their leader Ramesh Lungwa. Refuting the claims, the NC leaders said that they had put the flag at Lungwa´s home with the consent of house owner.
