KATHMANDU, March 28: Former Energy Minister and Nepali Congress (NC) leader Deepak Khadka has been arrested by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police.

According to CIB sources, Khadka was taken into custody in connection with multiple charges including the alleged misappropriation of land belonging to the Nepal Scouts.
Investigators said that during an arson attack at his residence on September 9, a significant amount of cash—including foreign currency—was recovered. CIB officials said further investigation into the case is ongoing.
