Nawalparasi accident toll reaches 9

BUTWAL, June 5: The death toll of Monday´s road accident in Nawalparasi reached nine after four persons undergoing treatment died of their injuries Tuesday.



Five people had died on the spot when a bus chartered by farmers for a visit to Lumbini shrine overturned at S-Mode of Daunne VDC of Nawalparasi Monday. [break]



District Police Office, Nawalparasi confirmed the four deaths Tuesday.



Five of the dead in the accident are from the same village. Mandojari Yadav, Jaganarayan Dhawal, Pappu Yadav and Ayoddha Chaudhari -- all of them from Mainhiya VDC-4 of Rupandehi district -- died at the hospital while Ram Chandra Chaudhari, who is also from Mainhiya, died on the spot.



The other four dead have been identified as Shyam Yadav, of Khadwa Bangain VDC in Rupandehi, Ram Sharan Harijan, of Man Pakadi in Rupandehi, and Harihar Chaudhari and Bodha Raj Kafle, of Gangoliya VDC in Rupandehi.



All the nine dead were farmers. They were on a trip to observe agricultural methods. The trip was organized by World Vision International.
