Issuing a statement Friday NA´s Directorate of Public Relations said the accused, who was deputed to Bhojpur-based Kalidhwaj battalion, was on leave and that he has not reported to the office since the incident.
“NA expresses its commitment to help Nepal Police in the investigation process and vows to punish the soldier as per the existing laws if found guilty,” read the statement.
