Minister Bishwokarma inspects TIA

KATHMANDU, June 24: Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Khadga Bahadur Bishwokarma collected the information about the condition of the airport and damaged runway inspecting the International Airport on Friday.



He also collected information about the service which the airport has been providing to the air passengers and its security condition.[break]



On the occasion, talking to media persons, Minister Bishwokarma said the cause of damaging runway is the qualitative problem for it was damaged within the four months after its maintenance.



He also expressed commitment to take action against accused by forming a high-level investigation committee and asked them to prepare its report within a week.



Flights were obstructed for three hours at the international airport on Wednesday following the damaged runway. It is the matter of our prestige, he said.
