According to Yadav, PM Bhattarai at the meeting directed the defense and finance ministers, to initiate within a week the procedure for bulk recruitment of Madhesi youths in Nepal Army.
The PM also assured Madhesi leaders at today’s meeting, also attended by chiefs of the Anil Jha-led Federal Sadbhawana and the Sarita Giri-led Sadbhawana (Anandidevi) parties, that he would instruct the law minister to start groundwork including working out a draft bill, if need be, on citizenship distribution issue.
Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal promised Madhes leaders that his party would lend support to endorse the inclusion bill in parliament, according to Yadav. The meeting took place when the Madhesi-based parties have been threatening to pull out of the government if their concerns are not met.
