Maoist mainly responsible for peace process: Madhav Nepal

KATHMANDU, August 3: Senior leader of CPN-UML and former prime minister Madhav Kumar Nepal speaking at a program, in the capital on Wednesday said that its Maoist´s major responsibility to conclude the peace process.



He further said that Maoist should be more responsible towards bringing the peace process to its logical end as they are the ones who have looted people´s property and have kept YCL at barracks. [break]



All the parties should be people´s party, he opined. UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Nepali Congress (NC) President Sushil Koirala and Tarai Madesh Democratic Party (TMDP) leader Mahanta Thakur also participated in the program.



Nepal also opined that despite lots of misunderstanding, the parties have come up with progressive decisions for the betterment of the country.



Our journey has just begun, there are lots of works to be done for the country, he added.



Political, economical and social sectors have lots of pending works since peace process has not been brought to its logical end as it is the priority right now, he said.



Even though the roles of the three major parties are very crucial for peace process, the Madhesi parties also have equally important part, he added.
