Manipal Hospital resumes services

POKHARA, Nov 14: The Manipal Teaching Hospital has resumed all services from Sunday having been shut down for two days in protest against vandalization.



The hospital agreed to resume services after the police assured that legal action would be taken against the offenders and security would be provided to doctors in the future.



Relatives of a patient Mani Raj Sharma had assaulted doctors and vandalized the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) accusing the hospital of using empty oxygen cylinder on Thursday night.



Police had arrested five persons including Ram Subedi, Krishna Bhattarai, Bodh Raj Sharma, Prem Subedi and Basu Dev Subedi from Kaskikot VDC on the night of vandalization.
