He said his pilgrimage would be for peace in the country. He said: " I believe anything is possible if there is self confidence and hard work."
He said it would take over nine months for him to cross over 10,000 km distance before he could participate in the Hajj in November 2010.
He will take a route of Delhi-Lahore-Iran-Saudi Arabia. He decided to go to Hajj pilgrimage after hearing that a devotee from Orissa in India has achieved the similar feat in the past.
Sah said he would go on the pilgrimage on his own expenses, without seeking help from any organization.
He has been cycling for 20-25 km everyday for the past three months.
Hailing Sah’s daring announcement, joint secretary of Nepal Students’ Union Irshad Ansari said the Muslim community would offer a grand farewell to Sah on February 27. He said the cycle tour wishing for peace would also help to earn a good image of the Muslim community in the international arena.
