“If three parties (Maoist, Nepali Congress and CPN-UML) do not agree for national government, the joint Madheshi front will announce a candidate from the Madhesh-based party,” Mahendra Yadav, the co-ordinator of Tarai Madhesh Democratic Party – Nepal said.

“We will discuss and finalize the candidate on Tuesday itself,” Yadav added.

TMDP’s joint general secretary Dipendra Sonar hinted that the candidate will be one among Deputy Prime Minister Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar, TMDP chairman Mahantha Thakur and Madheshi People’s Right Forum (MPRF) chairman Upendra Yadav.

“We are ready to accept one of them as the candidate of Madheshi front,,” Sonar said.

However, MPRF general secretary Ram Sah Yadav said that there has not been any talks about the common candidate.
