Madhesh issues should not be means to grab power: Mahaseth

JANAKPURDHAM, Sept 6: Central member of the CPN (UML) Raghuveer Mahaseth has stressed that the Madhes-centric parties that are part of the present government should work towards the implementation of the agreements signed with the government in the past.



Speaking in a press conference organized by the Press Chautari, Dhanusha District branch on Tuesday, he said the constituent parties of the United Democratic Madhesi Front should not use the Madhes issues only as a ladder to climb to power.[break]



Mahaseth said the constituents of the Front should address the Madhes issues as they hold important ministerial portfolios including the ministries related to development and policy and planning.
