“The four-day event is being organized with the slogan ´Aafno Bhaneko Aaphnai Ho´ (Our Product is Really Our Own) and it aims to encourage Nepalis to buy local products,” said Shrestha.
The event is expected to provide platform for entrepreneurs to promote their brand and provide better services to their consumers.
“Besides, visitors will also get the opportunity to shop for the upcoming festive season at one place,” said Shrestha, adding that the event was aimed at increasing consumption of local products among Nepali consumers.
A total of 90 exhibitors are participating in the event. The expo will also have entertainment programs like live concert, comedy show, fun park for children, social activities and free health check-up camps.
“We are also organizing Nepali food festivals at the sidelines of the event,” said Shrestha.
The organizers are expecting total footfall of around 150,000 as visitors get free entry to the expo.
