Karna Limbu was instrumental in Machhindra´s victory as he scored a goal and set up another for Bishal Rai B.[break]
Limbu gave Machhindra a 1-0 lead in the 27th minute of the match after receiving a pass from Laxmi Narayan Shrestha.
Ram Kumar Biswas scored the equalizer for Army Club in the 57th minute. Biswas headed home in a free-kick off Mahendra Khawas to level the scores.
Bishal Rai B scored in a pass from Limbu in the 80th minute to seal the victory for Machhindra. Rai was later adjudged the man-of-the-match.
New Road Team (NRT) will take on Laxmi Hyundai Manang Marshyangdi Club in the first quarterfinal of the knockout tournament. NRT reached the quarterfinal round defeating Samsung Jawalakhel Youth Club 1-0 on Tuesday.
