He had been suffering from kidney problem of late. Tripathi had taken formal education from India. He will be cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat Friday.
He was awarded with Bidwotkesheri award on Feb. 6, 2011 respecting his contribution to Nepali language and literature.
Litterateur Tripathi is survived by his wife, two daughters and five sons.
